Vishay Announces Stainless Steel Brake / Crowbar Resistance for New Energy Applications

(NYSE: VSH) announced the launch of a new line of stainless steel brake/crowbar resistors – ULDCR resistors that can withstand 3.46 MJ pulses Energy and 12kA pulse current for new energy and other heavy duty applications. The Vishay Draloric resistors introduced today are suitable for use as crowbar resistors for frequency converters for three-phase generators in wind power plants and pumped storage power plants.
