Slow development of LED production in Russia

According to data provided by the LED lighting assembly business plan provided by professional organizations, in 2010, more than 90% of the Russian LED product market was occupied by foreign manufacturers such as Cree, Osram and Nichia. The largest LED manufacturer in Russia includes Svetlana Optoelectronics, Proton and Smart Light.

At present, the development of LED products in Russia is slow. Although the state has stepped up its support within the framework of the economic modernization plan, LED commercial development in Russia has been difficult due to the lack of infrastructure and technical infrastructure for high-tech production.

At the same time, the proportion of imports of energy-saving products rose sharply in Russia. Most of these products were imported through illegal channels, and their quality did not meet international standards. The proportion of high-quality products does not exceed 20% of all imported lamps.
