Silicon Core Optoelectronics has introduced a breakthrough 1.9mm dot pitch LED display panel technology for indoor applications. Due to the high power consumption and the lack of high integration LED driver circuits, such fine pitch designs have only been successful until now. Â

The chip can drive up to 128 RGB (red-green-blue) LED pixels, resulting in a significant reduction in component count. The fine-pitch technology also pioneered the use of a “common cathode†RGB LED structure that reduces power consumption by 30% and solves the problem of high power overheating. Other innovative technologies include the elimination of ghosting effects, true color 16-bit color, EMI (electromagnetic interference) emissions, and a refresh rate of up to 16 KHz. The core technology of the fine pitch panel of Silicon Core Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. is currently being patented in the US and China.
