March 29, 2024

Competition: Judo, Taekwondo

Building area: 24,662 square meters

Total number of auditoriums: 8,012 (3932 temporary seats)

Number of lamps: 134pcs Philips ArenaVision

The Beijing University of Science and Technology Gymnasium is located on the central axis of Beijing University of Science and Technology. The exterior of the building uses the concept of “belt” in judo and taekwondo: embroidered red metal plates with a width of 3 meters and a spacing of 0.75 meters are evenly arranged throughout the façade. Adapted to the Beijing University of Science and Technology for the "iron cradle".

Since the lighting light pipe is installed in the gymnasium, and the roof of the hall has a ceiling ceiling, the position of the horse can only choose the place where the building is left blank and there is no major conflict with the air duct. Since most of the luminaires can only be installed under the horse track, it is very difficult to install and debug the luminaire. Two horse tracks are set up. The inner road is 15 meters from the center of the venue and the height is 18 meters. The outer road is 19 meters from the center of the venue and the height is 18 meters. At the same time, a section of the short axis of the site is 26 meters away from the center of the site. Pony Road to complement the four sides of the venue for vertical illumination. The lighting fixtures in the auditorium are also installed using the reserved locations of these buildings.

Lighting design should take into account the judo and taekwondo during the Olympic Games. Two venues are set up during the judo competition. Therefore, the lighting needs to meet the lighting of two sites or a single site. After the transition is completed, the requirements of Taekwondo must also be met. A total of 13 fixed cameras of judo, illuminance of 7 fixed cameras of Taekwondo, and illumination requirements of multiple mobile cameras were considered, and the projection angles of all the lamps in the whole field were less than 62 degrees.

When considering the Olympic lighting requirements, the school's use, operation and management of the stadium after the game have also been considered. After the game, it is very convenient to meet the lighting of two indoor basketball courts and one standard swimming pool.
