Too disappointed with smart TV? I heard that Samsung plans to change the landscape of smart TV

March 26, 2021

More and more people are complaining that smart TVs are just a large-screen display device with "smart" skin. How can Smart TVs become more "smart" in the end, and many vendors have already put it on the agenda. Samsung recently released a new series of SUHD TV, which has a very central idea: to change the current definition of narrow-minded smart TV.

It must be admitted that most of the current TVs only integrate an operating system, such as Web OS, Sony's Android TV and so on. They can allow users to install some games and applications to expand their needs, but this obviously can not meet the current users, and Samsung is out of the TV itself, trying to help users change some of the current shortcomings of smart TV.

The new Samsung TV can actively identify external devices. When the game console or Blu-ray player is connected to the TV, the TV remote control can be programmed automatically. For example, inserting the new SUHD TV into the Apple TV or Xbox One can be quickly recognized and displayed to meet the optimal settings. The "DVR" and "Guide" buttons on the remote control may also control the capabilities of external devices at the same time, eliminating the need to switch remote controls.

The completion of such an automatic detection function depends on HDMI-CEC, mainstream game consoles, Blu-ray players will have built-in options for this feature, thus supporting TV remote control function mapping. Based on this, Samsung's new SUHD TV can further analyze the signals of the input devices and authenticate them, and automatically query the database to perform button mapping for devices that do not support HDMI-CEC.

Samsung's new SUHD TV is turning the TV into a smart home center. Users can now let those home smart control centers take a break because Samsung’s TV can be used directly to control smart light bulbs, thermostats, security cameras, and smart door locks. This is in line with Samsung's launch of the 7, 8, and 9 series of smart TVs in 2016 with an additional USB connection to support the SmartTings function.

It is clear that Samsung’s SUHD TV has begun to consider jumping beyond television. This gives other TV makers a new idea: While pursuing hardware effects, smart-based TVs should be based on users. "Home" is considered as a whole. Although the smart features of Samsung TV are still very basic, it is enough to raise interest and it has a little expectation.

The PLC splitter is used to separate or combine optical signals. A PLC is a micro-optical component based on planar lightwave circuit technology and provides a low-cost light distribution solution with the small form factor and high reliability.

Rackmount Splitter is manufactured using silica glass waveguide circuits that are aligned with a v-groove fiber array chip that uses ribbon fiber. Once everything is aligned and bonded, it is then packaged inside a miniature housing. PLC splitter has high-quality performance, such as low insertion loss, low PDL, high return loss, etc.

Advantages
Suitable for multiple operating wavelengths (1260nm – 1650nm); unstinted.
Equal splitter ratios for all branches.
Compact configuration; smaller size; small occupation space.
Good stability across all ratios.

High quality; low failure rate.
