Non-contact measurement of tube end diameter gauge

introduction

For the measurement of the inner diameter size, the current methods of measurement in China are mostly based on contact measurement. However, the contact measurement has large measurement errors due to wear of measuring tools, human factors, etc., and cannot meet the requirements of fast and accurate inner diameter size detection. This paper introduces the inner diameter measuring instrument made by the laser principle, which realizes the lossless and high-precision measurement of the inner diameter size.

1, the basic measurement principle

The inner diameter measurement adopts the addition principle of laser ranging. When manufacturing, two laser probes measured in reverse on a straight line are set to measure the inner diameter of the steel pipe.

In the figure, the laser probe 1 and the laser probe 2 are arranged facing away at a fixed pitch A, and the laser light emitted by the probe is on the diameter line of the circular tube. During operation, the laser probe 1 emits a laser beam to illuminate the inner wall below the circular tube, and the diffuse reflection light on the inner wall of the circular tube is returned to the C-MOS chip in the laser probe 1 to analyze the position of the spot on the C-MOS chip. And the calculation, the actual distance B1 of the laser probe 1 to the inner wall below the circular tube can be obtained; similarly, the distance B2 of the laser probe 2 to the upper inner wall can be obtained. The inner diameter dimension D of the circular tube can be obtained by adding the distance A between the two probes and the distances B1 and B2 of the two probes to the upper and lower surfaces of the object to be tested.

2, the arrangement of the probe

Due to the size and range of the laser probe, the probes of small and large gauge steel tubes are not the same. The two probes of the small-size steel pipe need to be placed in an overlapping position to extend into the steel pipe, and the large-size steel pipe can be placed facing the probe. The two arrangements are shown in Figure 2.

3, the measuring range of the probe

Depending on the size of the steel tube, the wall thickness and the measuring range of the probe, the inner diameter measuring instrument is available in the following sizes (customizable):

4, equipment composition

The complete set of equipment for the inner diameter measuring device includes: inner diameter measuring instrument, main control cabinet (built-in control circuit, communication equipment and industrial computer), display device (liquid crystal display), sound and light alarm device and printer. In the actual measurement process, it is necessary to measure the inner diameter of both ends of the steel pipe. Although one industrial computer can drive two sets of measuring devices, it is recommended to directly use two industrial computers and their auxiliary equipment for the convenience of operation.

5. Spindle end structure and probe movement mode

As shown in Fig. 4, the end of the main shaft is provided with a guide rail and a slider, and the slider is fixedly connected to the probe component through a "link" and a "probe mount". The connecting rod and the main shaft are eccentric. When the measuring head is inserted into the steel pipe, the small wheel at the lower part of the probe mounting frame is tightly attached to the inner wall of the steel pipe under the action of the spring. The small wheel at the lower part of the probe mounting frame is strictly symmetrical with the laser beam of the probe to ensure that the laser beam passes through the center of the steel pipe, so that the measured value is the true inner diameter of the steel pipe. When the main shaft rotates, the measuring rod mounting frame is rotated along the inner wall of the steel pipe by the connecting rod, and the inner diameter of the steel pipe on the circumference can be measured (by measuring the frequency and the rotation speed of the main shaft, the measured diameter can reach 500 pieces) the above).

The connection position of the probe is a standard structure. To change the probe model, just replace the probe.

Conclusion

The inner diameter measuring instrument has the characteristics of measurement accuracy, fast measurement speed, real-time data processing and control of the industrial computer. Experimental results show that the measurement method is feasible. The inner diameter measuring instrument is easy to use and easy to operate, which is convenient for the staff to get started.
