EnLight plans to be led by Infineon in Germany. The members include German lighting manufacturer BJB GmbH & Co KG, German Institute of Industrial Technology (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft), LED lighting / light control component manufacturer Insta Elektro GmbH, NXP Semiconductors GA GmbH ), Osram AG and RWTH Aachen. For indoor LED lighting energy-saving solutions, the EnLight project aims to harness the power of LED lighting through innovative LED lighting modules, including LEDs and drivers. The scope of research also includes changing the socket standard specification. For example, the E27 incandescent lamp socket currently used in Europe is not designed for lighting management systems, but this system is very important for energy saving.
Another goal of the EnLight project is to develop programmable controllers and innovative sensors for smart LED lighting solutions. In addition, we have developed intelligent wired and wireless networks for LED lighting systems, making full use of energy and saving up to 40% of electricity. The research project will also explore new lighting features. According to EnLight's research, future LED light sources will automatically adjust the brightness with the ambient light source. The research of the German members belongs to the European "EnLight" project, which is jointly executed by the European ENIAC and chaired by the Philips company. The 30 members from 6 countries will be reunited through this cooperation. Strengthen Europe's world leadership in lighting systems.
