2016 Baidu Yunzhi Summit Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences - Qi Hejun

On November 30th, the first Baidu Yunzhi Summit will be officially held at the Beijing International Convention Center. The summit invited a large number of high-level participants, Baidu VR community will be introduced to attend the 2016 Baidu Yunzhi Summit heavyweight guests.

He Hejun (January 16th, 1943—), expert of optical fiber transmission network and broadband information network. Born in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, Guangdong Panyu. Graduated from Wuhan University of Posts and Telecommunications in 1964. He once served as vice president and chief engineer of the Institute of Telecommunication Science and Technology of the Ministry of Information Industry and vice president of Datang Telecom Group. He is also the deputy director of the National 863 Program Supervision Committee, a member of the National 973 Program Expert Advisors Group, a member of the National Informatization Experts Group Advisory Committee, and a vice chairman of the China Communications Association. It is one of the earliest researchers engaged in digital communication technology in China.

Personal experience

Born in Panyu, Guangdong on January 16, 1943;

Graduated from Wuhan University of Posts and Telecommunications in 1964 and later worked in the predecessor of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (9th Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications);

In 1999, he was elected as Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering;

He is currently an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Deputy Dean and Chief Engineer of the Institute of Telecommunication Science and Technology of the Ministry of Information Industry, Vice President of Datang Telecom Industry Group, Rewarded by the China Communications Society, and Chairman of the National High-Tech Research [863] Program Communication Technology Subject Group. Member of the State Information Office Expert Committee, IEEE Senior Member.

In 1988 won the first prize of national scientific and technological progress

In 1998 won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress

In 1997, he received the first prize of scientific and technological progress from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. Published 1 monograph.

In 2011, he served as chairman of the China Electronics Association’s Internet of Things Expert Committee

The main contribution

As the person in charge of the 863 project, the company first successfully developed PCM30 multiplexing equipment, STH-1/STM-4 multiplexing equipment, and 155/622Mb/sSDH optical fiber communication systems, leading and managing 8×2.5Gb/s waves. Division multiplexing optical communication system, research and development of optical communication demonstration project. He has participated in the ITU-T Network Standards Research Group meeting for many years and participated in the drafting of the national key technical policy research and national long-term science and technology development plan. He has participated in the decision-making of national communication development for many times.
