Together with Texas Instruments Audi will bring rich in-vehicle media functions
Audi, the number one automaker, today announced that it will use Texas Instruments' Jacinto 5 automotive infotainment processor. This collaboration will bring an explosive multimedia application unit to Audi ’s High Infotainment System, which integrates Texas Instruments ’wireless & card control unit (RCC) under the hood. Audi will first introduce some features on the 2013 A3 model. The Jacinto 5 (C6000) processor from Texas Instruments (TI) integrates ARM Cortex A8 core management middleware, drivers, and application stack processing. The device also has a digital signal processor (DSP) that supports audio, radio and low-level automotive automation tasks.
