Sandy Bridge architecture three embedded Celeron exposure

January 28, 2024

Sandy Bridge architecture three embedded Celeron exposure Pentium, Celeron, the two classic old brands are still full of vitality in the Sandy Bridge era, there have been several models were born, and now we have seen the embedded version of the new Celeron.

The Sandy Bridge family actually has a number of embedded versions of Core i7/i5/i3 models, all ending with the letter “E”, which are similar to the consumer-level versions, mainly adding support for ECC error checking memory, and Use BGA package instead. The 64-bit/SSE3 instruction set, virtualization technology, etc. are reserved on these processors.

The new embedded Celeron is known in three models:

Celeron B810E: similar to the consumer-grade mobile Celeron B810, dual-core, clocked at 1.6GHz, 3MB of cache, thermal design power of 35W, integrated graphics core HD Graphics 2000, frequency of 650MHz, but not as accelerated as the latter 1GHz.

Celeron 847E: similar to Celeron 847, dual-core, clocked at 1.1GHz, 3MB cache, 17W thermal design power, integrated graphics core HD Graphics 2000, frequency 350-800MHz, but does not support 3D acceleration.

Celeron 827E: Ultra-low-voltage single-core, clocked at 1.4GHz, three-level cache 1.5MB, thermal design power 17W, graphics core and above.

The Celeron B810E/847E will be released in the third quarter of this year, while the Celeron 827E will wait until at least the fourth quarter and even the first quarter of next year.

In addition, on the desktop, Intel will launch three Celeron Celeron G540/G530/G440 models with the same new architecture in the third quarter.
