Founded in 1966, Bonner Engineering Inc. is one of the world's largest professional manufacturers of photoelectric switches, measurement and inspection and safety products. With leading design capabilities, excellent manufacturing capabilities and more than 15,000 products, it is used by different users. Provide a wide range of products and solutions.

Today, with the rapid development of the economy, China's logistics and warehousing industry started late, but its development is extremely rapid, and its scale is gradually expanding. Customers are increasingly demanding automation of logistics and storage equipment, which is both high-speed and reliable, and economical. Practical, this poses a problem for equipment manufacturers. There are currently two types of testing difficulties. The first is to detect the three-dimensional dimensions of the container. There has never been a reliable and economical solution. The customer requests online detection of the length, width and height of the shipping box, and then sends the data to the host computer for processing, determines the size of the shipping box, and then drives the actuator to divert the containers of different sizes to achieve automatic cargo sorting. The second is the positioning of the automatic stacker. In the automated warehouse, the goods are sent to the stacker by the conveyor belt, and then the main system issues instructions to the control system of the stacker to inform them to deliver the goods to the specified location. At this time, the system must confirm the position of the stacker to determine the horizontal location (as shown in Figure 1). In the past, there were generally two solutions. One was to detect the stacker in each location using a proximity switch or a travel switch. Whether it is in place, this method is simple but the wiring is complicated and the position of the stacker cannot be monitored in real time, and the control program is complicated. The second is to use an encoder to indirectly measure the position of the stacker. This method is complicated and requires program calculation to get indirect position data. Therefore, the above two methods are not very satisfactory.

In response to these two problems, Bonner has developed two new measurement products, one is the LT7 series laser long-distance displacement sensor. Its measurement principle is echo analysis, which uses the time difference between laser pulse emission and return and laser. The wavelength is used to calculate the position of the measured object. It has two measurement modes, direct reflection and reflection plate. The measurement distance is 10m and 250m respectively, and the resolution is 2mm. It has standard analog output and digital output and serial. Communication RS422/SSI output, the button setting detection range is convenient and reliable, and has a very high cost performance. This type of sensor can be used to measure the height and width of the container (as shown in Figures 2 and 3) and the positioning of the stacker (as shown in Figure 1). When measuring the width of the container, use two LT7 to measure the distance between the two sides of the container respectively, then calculate the width by the upper computer. When measuring the height, decide to use one or more LT7 according to the width of the conveyor belt and the volume of the container. Make measurements. The stacker is positioned using a reflector-type LT7 that secures the reflector to the side of the moving stacker. The LT3 is attached to the opposite side of the reflector so that the stacker's position signal can be obtained in real time.

Another new product is the MINI-ARRAY series of high-resolution measuring light curtains. This series has a resolution of 2.5mm, an attack distance of 1.8m, a measuring height of 150mm to 2m, and a controller with different output forms. . In the application of measuring the three-dimensional size of the container, three sets of MINI-ARRAY measuring light curtains are used to measure the length, width and height of the container respectively (as shown in Figure 4), and then the data is sent to the controller. The controller is different according to the Scan analysis mode, calculate the corresponding analog signal (4 ~ 20mA or 0 ~ 10V) and output to the host computer, the host computer controls the action of the actuator according to the program; at the same time, the MINI-ARRAY controller also has a switch output, Defined as different functions, such as cargo high alarm or system fault alarm. With a response time of up to 1.8ms, this system is perfectly suited for high-speed logistics lines.

LT7 long-range laser displacement sensor and high-resolution measuring light curtain MINI-ARRAY can be used not only in logistics production lines, but also in crane anti-collision; sag control; postal parcel sorting; coil rectification; highway toll station Vehicle counting; log outer diameter measurement; steel plate through hole detection; object to medium various applications, in short, these two new products of BANNER have broad application prospects in the field of automation, which not only has reliable performance, high measurement accuracy, and response. Fast, and more importantly, it solves the testing challenges you couldn't solve before.
