OSRAM and LSG team up to build LED lighting project in North Carolina
LSG's Optimized Digital Light Source (ODL) product, combined with OSRAM's Golden DRAGON LED light source, will replace the 12-inch metal halide lamp in the pedestrian tunnel that extends from the Avery C. Upchurch Government Complex to the municipal car park. These energy-saving and environmentally friendly solid-state lights can be switched directly to metal halide lamps or high-intensity gas discharge (HID) lamps.

The product's cool white light and high color rendering index have superior visibility. In addition, the cost is much lower compared to metal halide lamps: long service life reduces maintenance costs, high efficiency reduces power loss, and solid state technology greatly reduces heat radiation.
Lolita City is the application of LEDs to cities with earlier lighting, including garage parking lot lighting, tunnel lighting, street lighting, architectural lighting, accent lighting, portable lighting and pedestrian lighting. Lolita City plans to complete the LED lighting project in the fall of 2007.
