October 13, 2018

In the past month, in some difficult towns and towns in Lishui City and Zhangzhou City of Zhejiang Province, a group of college students took the sun, brought their own dry food, and went to the village to send energy-saving lamps for poor farmers.

These college students are volunteers recruited by Zhejiang Energy Saving Pioneer Sunshine Action. Not long ago, the Energy-saving Pioneer Sunshine Action jointly launched by the Communist Youth League Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Zhejiang Poverty Alleviation Office and Zhejiang Sunshine Group was officially launched, which will send 200,000 energy-saving lamps to 100,000 poor families in the province.

The Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Zhejiang Poverty Alleviation Office and the Zhejiang Sunshine Group have jointly conducted research on some of the 211 underdeveloped townships in 11 cities across the province, and found that these families use 25-watt-60-watt cards. The incandescent bulbs can't afford energy-saving lamps.

According to the Zhejiang Sunshine Group, which donated these energy-saving lamps, the 11-watt energy-saving lamps were delivered this time. According to estimates, if each household uses 2 40-watt incandescent lamps for 3 hours per day, 0.5 yuan per kilowatt hour, and the average life of energy-saving lamps is calculated for more than 5 years, each household will save 159 yuan in electricity costs in five years. Then, this event will help 100,000 poor families save electricity costs of 15.9 million yuan in five years.

Zhejiang Sunshine Group is a company that mainly produces all kinds of energy-saving lighting products. At present, we have installed 120,000 energy-saving lamps for free for 60,000 poor families in Lishui and Zhangzhou. Zhang Zhaozhong, head of Zhejiang Sunshine Group, said.

The relevant person in charge of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League said that more than a thousand volunteers of the event will learn more about energy conservation knowledge and raise awareness of energy conservation during the process of sending energy to the countryside, and in the publicity activities such as posting energy-saving posters. Extensive energy conservation propaganda for other people in the village where the poor people live.
